Chabad Chayil is a vibrant Jewish community center serving North Miami-Dade, Aventura, North Miami Beach, and surrounding communities. We offer synagogue services, Jewish education, holiday programs, preschool, Hebrew school, Camp Gan Israel, adult education, family events, and community support for Jews of every background.

Do I have to be Orthodox to attend?
Not at all.
People from every Jewish background attend Chabad Chayil. Whether you're Reform, Conservative, Orthodox, secular, or simply exploring Judaism, you'll feel welcomed and respected.
Is there a membership required?
Yes. While everyone is welcome to visit regardless of membership, we are now requesting that anyone coming on a regular basis become a member. We want you to be safe and we want to be able to help you in the areas you need. Please become a member here.
Is Chabad affiliated with the Chabad-Lubavitch movement?
Yes.
Chabad Chayil is part of the worldwide Chabad-Lubavitch movement founded by the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson.
Synagogue Questions
Do I need to know Hebrew?
No.
Many participants have little or no Hebrew background. Prayer books include English translations and transliterations. We also have prayer books in Spanish & Russian.
What time are Shabbat services?
Service times change throughout the year.
Current service times are always available on our website and weekly emails.
Is there a Kiddush after services?
Yes.
Most Shabbat mornings feature a Kiddush where everyone is invited to enjoy delicious food and socialize.
Can visitors attend?
Absolutely.
Whether you're visiting Aventura or just passing through South Florida, we'd love to welcome you.
Preschool
Does Chabad Chayil have a preschool?
Yes.
Gan Chabad Preschool provides a warm Jewish preschool experience for infants through Pre-K, combining excellent early childhood education with Jewish values.
Is the preschool only for Jewish families?
The preschool primarily serves Jewish families seeking a nurturing educational environment.
What curriculum does the preschool follow?
Children learn language arts, math, science, creativity, social development, and Jewish traditions in a loving, play-based environment.

Hebrew School
Does Chabad Chayil offer Hebrew School?
Yes.
CHAP (Chabad Hebrew Afterschool Program) offers an exciting Hebrew school experience where children learn Hebrew reading, Jewish holidays, Torah, mitzvot, and Jewish values.
What ages can attend Hebrew School?
Our Hebrew School serves children from elementary through middle school.
Does my child need Hebrew knowledge?
No.
Many students begin with no Hebrew background.
Camp Gan Israel
Does Chabad Chayil offer summer camp?
Yes.
Camp Gan Israel West Aventura provides exciting summer adventures including trips, swimming, sports, baking, science, arts, Jewish learning, and unforgettable memories.
Who can attend Camp Gan Israel?
Camp is open to Jewish children from many different backgrounds.
Are field trips included?
Yes.
Campers enjoy exciting weekly trips throughout South Florida.
Jewish Learning
Do you offer adult education?
Yes.
We offer Torah classes, Talmud study, women's classes, Lunch & Learn programs, and one-on-one learning opportunities.
Can beginners attend Torah classes?
Absolutely.
No previous Jewish education is necessary.
Do you teach Bar and Bat Mitzvah students?
Yes.
We offer personalized Bar and Bat Mitzvah preparation.
Jewish Holidays
Can I attend High Holiday services?
Yes.
Everyone is welcome for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services.
