It's no coincidence that this weeks Torah portion -Acharei Mot begins with the passing of the sons of Aharon, who Rashi tells us were great Tzadikim. After that terrible tragedy, the Torah tells us of Aharons response 'Vayidom Aharon - and Aharon was silent'.
---
As the world is still in shock of the horrific attacks on innocent targets, Rabbi Yisroel Goldstein was invited to the National Day of Prayer at the White House, and shared a message of pride and strength in the face of evil.
Speaking with bandages on his hands, he quoted the Rebbe, who so often spoke of the vital need for moral education in American society. He noted how in the early 1980s, not long after the assassination attempt on President Reagan,
the Rebbe began speaking of the dire importance of making a daily Moment of Silence a standard practice in public schools across the nation.
___
Rabbi Goldstein hit it on spot on. The most proper response to this horrifying 'Acharei Mot' should be a Moment of Silence.
I invite you to join me in doing everything we can to bring those basics back into Florida Public Schools. Please click
here to learn how it would work & then let me know if you want to join our effort. Let us make sure that every child knows that they were created by G-d because He sees value in them, and that every person can be a contributing member of society.
Wishing you a Shabbat Shalom,
Rabbi Moishe & Layah Kievman
Last Chance for This Year!
When one sees blossoming fruit trees for the first time during the month of Nissan, one says a special blessing. We therefore placed 2 beautiful fruit trees in front of the Shul with the blessings next to them so that you can come by any time and catch the blessing! Hundreds have already come by to do that blessing!

Interested in joining us for a Chassidic Heritage Tour, to Crown Heights, Brooklyn? It’s where Layah and I grew up and will surely be an unforgettable experience that I don't want you to miss.
Crown Heights is the heart of the Chabad Lubavitch movement and home to thousands of Jews. It’s become famous as one of the most warm and welcoming communities in the world. Spending a Shabbat weekend in Crown Heights has become a must-do experience that creates lifetime memories, but can sometimes be difficult when going alone.
We’ve teamed up with JLI & several Chabad House communities from around the country & put together an exciting schedule. This is our third time joining this trip and can absolutely tell you that it is amazing and worth every dime. We’ll visit the iconic 770 building, the Rebbes house (usually closed to the public) and the Ohel. Over Shabbat, we’ll pray together, learn together, and share an amazing
weekend together. We’ll also take a guided tour of the neighborhood, visit a real matzah bakery and a scribe’s workshop, and take in comedy shows and other entertainment.
The Shabbat weekend is May 17-19 and is open to men, women and children, singles or families.
Let me know if you want more info..
RSVP by contacting Rabbi Kievman at (305) 770-1919

Following the deaths of Nadav and Avihu, G‑d warns against unauthorized entry “into the holy.” Only one person, the kohen gadol (“high priest”), may, but once a year, on Yom Kippur, enter the innermost chamber in the Sanctuary to offer the sacred ketoret to G‑d.
Another feature of the Day of Atonement service is the casting of lots over two goats, to determine which should be offered to G‑d and which should be dispatched to carry off the sins of Israel to the wilderness.
The Parshah of Acharei also warns against bringing korbanot (animal or meal offerings) anywhere but in the Holy Temple, forbids the consumption of blood, and details the laws prohibiting incest and other deviant sexual relations.
Your Questions Who Was Itamar? We first read of Itamar’s role when we are told of sums of gold, silver and other supplies that were used to
build and furnish the Mishkan
