followed by Kiddush Lunch

For wherever we can put something longer..
On the night of November 9, 1938, the deafening sounds of gunshots, the smashing of glass, and the cries of a mob rioting and looting filled the Jewish Quarter.

Isaac Schwartz, a young boy of only 14, risked his life to douse a bonfire full of Torah Scrolls, shawls, prayer books, and other Jewish artifacts that Nazi soldiers had set aflame in a square in Hamburg. From the ashes he managed to rescue a single Torah scroll.

This special Torah will be joining The Family Shul for Saturday, Dec 31, 2016. The Torah will be taken out at 10:30am followed by Kiddush Lunch.

The services are free and open to the entire community. We encourage everyone to join at take part of this special service.
